Growing up in the USA, October 31 has always been one of my favorite celebrations. Costumes, candy and scary creatures fill this magical night with fun and excitement for everyone, especially for the children.
- Some of the most important traditions include:
- Dressing up in costumes
- Decorating our houses with autumn and Halloween decor
- Visiting pumpkin farms and turning them into jack-o-lanterns
- Visiting haunted houses
- Watching scary movies and telling scary stories
- Eating too many sweets
And of course, Trick or Treating – When we visit the neighbour’s houses collecting candy and sweets to share with our families and friends.
This year, Echeyde II students will be learning about American culture by participating in some of these exciting celebrations, and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with them!
Happy Halloween!
